Spring Forward Learning Center

Our Story

In 1999, a group of dedicated parishioners at Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church in Rock Island, Illinois, recognized a pressing need for a safe and nurturing environment for children after school. This vision led to the establishment of Spring Forward Learning Center as a mission project, initially serving around 40 students from Audubon Elementary. As the demand for after-school programming grew, the church transitioned to a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in 2007, allowing for greater support and expansion.

Impact

Today, Spring Forward Learning Center operates seven after-school and nine summer programming sites, along with a family literacy program and sports clubs, positively impacting thousands of students in kindergarten through 6th grade.
