Our Story
The Spring Creek Volunteer Fire Department was established in January 1981, following two devastating house fires that underscored the urgent need for fire protection in the Spring Creek area of Madison County. Inspired by the community's swift response, Roemane Willett proposed the formation of a volunteer fire department. A meeting on February 17, 1981, drew over 100 residents, resulting in 27 volunteers and initial donations. Despite early challenges, the department thrived through community support, training, and fundraising, culminating in the opening of a dedicated firehouse in 1983.
