Our Story

Petra Community Housing, formerly known as Phoenixville Homes, was established in 1994 by the Phoenixville Area Council of Churches to address the pressing need for affordable housing. Over the years, the organization has evolved from providing small grants to developing rental housing for seniors, families, and individuals with disabilities. By transforming vacant factories into livable spaces, Petra has made a significant impact in the community.

Impact

With 139 affordable rental housing units developed, Petra Community Housing has successfully provided quality living conditions for very low-income elderly and adults with disabilities.
