Our Story

Spoonfuls, formerly known as Lovin’ Spoonfuls, was founded in 2010 to recover and distribute healthy, fresh food that would otherwise go to waste. Starting with a single food recovery route in Greater Boston, Spoonfuls has grown to become New England's largest food recovery operation.

Impact

Since its inception, Spoonfuls has successfully kept over 30 million pounds of good food out of landfills, translating to more than 24 million meals served. In 2023 alone, the organization recovered over 4.7 million pounds of food, benefiting over 370,000 individuals across Massachusetts.
