Spokane International Academy

Our Story

The Spokane International Academy (SIA) was founded in 2014 by dedicated educators and community members with a vision to create a charter school that empowers students with essential skills for academic success and global competence. Since opening in August 2015 with just 160 students in grades K, 1, and 6, SIA has expanded to serve over 600 students in grades K-8. The school has successfully navigated challenges, including changes in charter school laws in Washington State, and has thrived by moving to a new campus in 2020 and launching a high school program in 2021.
