SPIKE Studio, initiated in 2004 by Oscar “Spike” Harris, FAIA, in partnership with Georgia Institute of Technology and Benjamin E. Mays High School, aims to address the low representation of minorities and women in architecture. Since becoming a nonprofit in 2009, SPIKE has mentored hundreds of students in the Atlanta area, fostering a new generation of diverse professionals.
Through mentorship and educational programs, SPIKE Studio has successfully empowered under-represented youth, providing them with opportunities to explore careers in architecture, engineering, and construction.
