Our Story

Spectrum Thrift Store was founded by Mark and Alisa Tillman, who recognized the limited employment opportunities for their son, Lucas, due to his autism. Together with other special needs parents, they envisioned a store run primarily by individuals with special needs, providing them with valuable work experience and a sense of community.

Impact

Since its inception, Spectrum Thrift Store has donated over $10,000 to autism programs in St. John’s and Jacksonville, striving to combat the alarming statistic that up to 80% of individuals with autism are unemployed or under-employed.
