In February 2016, a tragic high school shooting in Arizona claimed the lives of two young girls, prompting Gina Godbehere and her colleagues to take action. They founded the Speak Up, Stand Up, Save a Life movement to empower students to recognize warning signs and communicate with trusted adults. This initiative has led to the establishment of an annual youth conference, providing essential tools to tackle bullying, mental health issues, and suicide prevention.
Since its inception, the movement has positively impacted over 420,000 students across Arizona, fostering a culture of awareness and proactive intervention regarding mental health, bullying, and suicide prevention.
