Curbing Pet Overpopulation
Providing Spay/Neuter Services
Assisting Low Income Pet Guardians
Focusing on Community Cats

Our Story

In 2001, Spay4LA and the Coalition for Pets & Public Safety launched the first mobile spay and neuter clinic in Los Angeles. Since then, over 200,000 dogs and cats have been spayed and neutered in low-income communities such as South LA, Compton, Watts, and East LA. The dedicated team, led by Pam Wilkinson after the passing of co-founder Erika Brunson in 2022, continues to fight against pet overpopulation with the same passion that started this mission in 1999.

Our Impact

Spay4LA is currently the most productive mobile spay and neuter clinic in Los Angeles, working tirelessly to reduce shelter intake and euthanasia rates, which should never be a solution to pet overpopulation.
