Our Story
Founded in 1945, the Spartanburg Little Theatre began as a literary club and has evolved into a vibrant community theatre. With its first one-act play performed in 1946, the theatre has grown to include a youth theatre and numerous acclaimed productions. In 2007, it moved to the Chapman Cultural Center, where it continues to thrive, recognized for its artistic excellence with the SC Theatre of Distinction Award in 2020.

Over 300,000 young people have been inspired through the youth theatre program, making the Spartanburg Little Theatre a cornerstone of the local arts community.
