Spark the Journey

Our Story

Since 1993, Spark the Journey has been dedicated to transforming the lives of low-income students in the Washington D.C. area through one-to-one mentoring and comprehensive college and career success programming. Supporting over 500 students across 17 high schools and more than 80 colleges nationwide, the organization fosters a community of support that empowers young adults to chart their own paths.

Impact

In response to the challenges posed by the pandemic, Spark the Journey has distributed over $400,000 in Emergency Fund Requests to alleviate financial burdens that threaten students' educational journeys. The focus remains on helping low-income, first-generation college students navigate their paths to success.
