Founded in 2011 by local runners Ben Putman and Max Mahler, The Spark Foundation emerged from the revival of the Cow Paddy Run, a beloved race that once supported Fayetteville’s Gulley Park. With a mission to foster a culture of health and fitness, the foundation has become a vital part of the community, providing financial support for innovative public education projects through partnerships with Fayetteville Public Schools and the Fayetteville Public Education Foundation.
