Our Story

The Spanish American Committee for a Better Community (SAC) was founded in 1966 to fill a critical gap in services for the Hispanic community in Cleveland. At a time when no organizations existed to support this population, SAC emerged as a beacon of hope, providing essential social services, workforce development, and advocacy for Hispanic representation in local government. Over the years, SAC has evolved to meet the diverse needs of its clients, becoming a trusted resource for thousands.

Impact

With a commitment to uplifting the Hispanic community, SAC has distributed approximately 1,000 basic needs items, assisted over 600 clients with housing, and provided employment support to more than 500 individuals.
