Our Story

Sozo Youth Sanctuary Foundation was co-founded in 2005 by Frederick O. Bolton and Dr. Lisa Burns, dedicated educators committed to supporting at-risk youth. The foundation emerged from a vision to address childhood and adolescent trauma, often overlooked yet critical to overcoming dysfunction and failure to thrive. Located in Western Colorado, the organization focuses on providing therapeutic support to youth who lack adequate funding for their needs.
