Our Story

The Southworth Library Association, established in 1883, is dedicated to building and maintaining a library in Dryden, NY, as a lasting tribute to Jennie McGraw Fiske's family. The library, designed by architect William Henry Miller, opened its doors in 1884 and has been a cornerstone of the community ever since.

Through its summer reading program, funded by the United Way of Tompkins County, the Southworth Library provides essential support for academic success, benefiting hundreds of youth and teens in the community.
