About Southwest Sports Wellness Foundation

The Southwest Sports Wellness Foundation was established in 2010 to improve access to healthcare services for student-athletes, particularly those who are underinsured or from underserved areas in San Diego County. Through various programs, SWSWF provides free sports injury screenings, assessments, and evaluations, while also offering educational opportunities in athletic training and sports medicine.

Impact on Student-Athletes

Since its inception, SWSWF has served over 20,000 student-athletes, providing 4,000 rehabilitation and injury evaluations and 6,000 pre-participation sports exams and cardiac screenings. This significantly enhances the health and safety of student-athletes in the Sweetwater Union High School District.
