Our Story

The Southwest Georgia Legal Self-Help Center, Inc. was established in 2017 as a pilot program in Dougherty County, Georgia. Following a strategic action plan developed by the Justice for All Working Group, the center aims to provide free procedural information and resources to civil litigants, helping them navigate the legal system without offering legal advice.

With over 38,000 patrons served, the Southwest Georgia Legal Self-Help Center has made significant strides in providing essential legal resources and information to individuals in need, contributing to the reduction of legal barriers to self-sufficiency in the community.
