Southside Family Nurturing Center

Our Story

Founded in 1974 by dedicated members of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Southside Family Nurturing Center began with a vision to prevent child abuse and neglect through early intervention and family support. Starting in a modest church basement, the center has grown to serve 50 families annually in the Phillips community of South Minneapolis. As a pioneer in holistic therapeutic models of early childhood education and family support services in Minnesota, Southside has positively impacted the lives of hundreds of children and families.
