About the Southlake Carroll Alumni Association

Founded in 2013, the Dragon Classic has become the premier fundraising event for the Southlake Carroll Alumni Association. Spearheaded by dedicated alumni Robert Clayton ('00) and Isaac Gregory ('96'), this initiative aims to address the significant funding challenges faced by Carroll Independent School District (CISD). As a Chapter 41 district, Carroll ISD is required to return a substantial portion of its property tax revenue to the state, totaling over $215 million since 2001. This financial strain limits the resources available for local educational needs.

Impact of the Dragon Classic

In 2022, the Dragon Classic Committee proudly donated $60,000 back to Carroll ISD, demonstrating the power of community support. The goal for 2024 is to raise $100,000, which will directly benefit the students and programs within the district.
