Our Story

The Southern Maryland Resource Conservation and Development program, initiated by the U.S. Department of Agriculture in 1962, addresses local natural resource and quality of life concerns. Serving five counties, Southern Maryland RC&D focuses on enhancing community well-being through strategic partnerships and impactful project implementation.

Our Impact

Since 1971, Southern Maryland RC&D has completed hundreds of projects, including shoreline stabilization and tree planting, significantly benefiting local ecosystems and communities.
