Our Story
Founded by Chris Shepherd in 2015, Southern Smoke Foundation was created to support food and beverage workers facing unforeseen hardships. Initially focused on raising funds for the MS Society, the foundation shifted its mission to provide financial aid to individuals in the food and beverage industry affected by disasters, such as Hurricane Harvey.
Impact
Since its inception, Southern Smoke Foundation has distributed over $13 million to food and beverage workers in crisis, providing essential support for groceries, rent, and medical expenses. The foundation has also funded more than 6,000 no-cost mental health counseling sessions, significantly impacting the well-being of industry workers across multiple states.
