Southern Counties Rescue

Our Story

Southern Counties Rescue was established by dedicated volunteers from Kitten Rescue in Orange County, California. Since 2002, this all-volunteer organization has been committed to rescuing and adopting out cats and kittens from high-kill shelters and dangerous situations. In 2012, Southern Counties Rescue became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, expanding its reach to San Diego and Imperial Counties, and recently to Washington state with the opening of a new chapter in Bremerton.

Our Impact

By rescuing abandoned cats and kittens, Southern Counties Rescue aims to reduce the euthanasia rates in Southern California and provide loving homes for these animals in Washington. Every rescued kitty receives necessary medical care and is fully vetted before adoption.
