About Southern California Health & Rehabilitation Program

Founded in February 1994, the Southern California Health & Rehabilitation Program (SCHARP) was established by two African American psychiatrists who recognized the need for culturally relevant mental health services for vulnerable ethnic minority populations. SCHARP focuses on providing quality mental health and rehabilitation services to those in South Los Angeles, particularly the homeless mentally ill and individuals with dual diagnoses.
