Founded in 1927 by Rev. L. G. Foster, Sr., Southern Bible Institute & College began as the Dallas Colored Bible School, dedicated to providing biblical education to African American students. Over the decades, SBIC has evolved, achieving accreditation and forming partnerships with various educational institutions. This rich history reflects a commitment to fostering leadership and growth within the community.
In February 2023, SBIC achieved initial accreditation by the Association of Biblical Higher Education, marking a significant milestone in its 91-year journey.
