Our Story

Southern Appalachian Wilderness Stewards (SAWS) was founded in 2010 to address the need for stewardship across the southeast. Over the past decade, SAWS has become a leader in wilderness stewardship, training, and education, focusing on the wild public lands of the Southern Appalachian region.
