Transforming Lives Through Gardening

Founded in 1994 by community leaders Brenda Brodie and Annice Kenan, SEEDS has been dedicated to transforming neighborhoods and lives in Durham, North Carolina. Starting on a two-acre plot in Northeast Central Durham, SEEDS has grown into a vital community resource, establishing numerous community gardens and youth programs like the DIG program and SEEDlings After-School program.

Impacting the Community

SEEDS empowers young people to respect life, the earth, and each other through hands-on experiences in growing, cooking, and sharing food.

Support Sustainable Futures
