In 1976, a dedicated group of citizens recognized the urgent need for medical and dental services in southwest Bridgeport. Their efforts led to the establishment of the Southwest Community Health Center, which opened its doors in 1977. Over the years, the center has expanded its facilities and services, including a new main facility launched in 2007, to better serve the community.
