Since the mid-1950s, the Spirit of God has rested upon a 72-acre tract of land nestled in the South Mountain range of Burke County, North Carolina. From humble beginnings, South Mountain Baptist Camp has grown to meet the Christian camping needs of thousands. Originally envisioned as a summer camp for boys and girls, the mission has expanded to serve nearly four thousand children, youth, and adults each year, providing a year-round facility for retreats and summer camps.
The mission of South Mountain Baptist Camp is to assist the Church in reaching people for Christ and developing young disciples who will effectively impact our culture and carry the gospel throughout the world.
