Our Story

The South Florida Wildlife Center, founded in 1969, is dedicated to the care of native wildlife across Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties. As Florida's highest volume wildlife care facility, it treats between 10,000 and 12,000 animals annually, representing nearly 300 different species. This independent nonprofit organization operates solely on donations, with a mission to rescue, rehabilitate, and release injured and orphaned animals while educating the public about environmental issues.

Impact

With thousands of injured and orphaned wildlife animals treated and rehabilitated each year, the South Florida Wildlife Center plays a crucial role in preserving local biodiversity.
