The South Florida Center for Percussive Arts, founded by Director Brandon Cruz in August 2013, serves as the ambassador for percussion in South Florida. This organization is dedicated to creating and enhancing opportunities for studying, performing, and enjoying music through percussion, particularly in the underserved West Kendall area.
Each week, over 100 students engage in free and low-cost music programs, participating in more than 60 workshops and numerous performances. This initiative has successfully engaged thousands of residents in West Kendall.
