Our Story
The South Enotah Child Advocacy Center, Inc. was founded in 2016 through the collaborative efforts of dedicated citizens, law enforcement, and child protective services in Lumpkin and White Counties. Recognizing the urgent need for a unified approach to combat child abuse, these community leaders came together to establish a center that would serve as a beacon of hope for children affected by abuse.
Initially, independent initiatives were underway in both counties, but the realization that a combined effort would yield greater impact led to the formation of the South Enotah Child Advocacy Center. The board of directors comprises representatives from various sectors, including the faith community, the Division of Family and Children’s Services, and local law enforcement, all committed to enhancing child welfare.
With funding support from the Enotah District Attorney’s Office and pro bono legal assistance, the Center was established to provide essential services aimed at protecting and healing children and their families.
