Our Story

On a cold November night in 2015, a frightened miniature pinscher mix was discovered behind a garbage can, leading to the creation of South County Tail Waggers. This nonprofit organization is dedicated to rescuing homeless dogs and establishing a no-kill animal sanctuary. Through a robust foster program and community outreach initiatives, SCTW not only socializes dogs but also brings joy to special populations. A free spay and neuter clinic was launched to combat the issue of unwanted dogs, ensuring a brighter future for these animals.

Our Impact

Since its inception, SCTW has successfully found forever homes for over 400 Tail Waggers and maintains an average of 40 foster dogs at any given time. The organization’s free monthly spay and neuter clinic plays a crucial role in preventing unwanted litters and reducing the number of neglected dogs in the community.
