Autism Society of South Carolina
EIN: 23-7350663 · West Columbia, SC
Our Story
In the early 1970s, a group of dedicated parents of children with Autism united to create a supportive community. They recognized the lack of understanding and resources available for Autistic individuals and their families. This grassroots effort led to the formation of the Autism Society of South Carolina, chartered in 1972 and granted 501(c)(3) status in 1974. Since then, the organization has been a beacon of hope and advocacy for nearly 70,000 Autistic individuals in South Carolina.
