Our Story
Founded in 1991 by Jeanne Junge and Tom Surprenant, Sounds of Hope Ltd. emerged from a passion for cultural exchange and artistic expression. Inspired by their travels and experiences in diverse cultures, they launched the Songs of Hope™ project, which brings together children from various countries to celebrate their unique heritages through music. Initially conceived as a one-time event, the overwhelming response led to the establishment of Sounds of Hope as a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering cultural understanding and artistic excellence.
Since its inception, the Songs of Hope™ project has evolved into an annual event, captivating audiences with its vibrant performances and heartfelt messages. Each summer, children from around the globe come together to rehearse and perform, creating a tapestry of cultural sharing that resonates with communities. The project not only showcases artistic talent but also emphasizes the importance of service and global citizenship.
