Our Story

SOTENI International was founded in 2003 by a dedicated group of American and African volunteers. The organization focuses on preventing HIV/AIDS and alleviating its impact in Kenya through grassroots initiatives. The innovative SOTENI Villages of Hope model supports individuals and families affected by HIV/AIDS, fostering community-led solutions. Over the years, SOTENI has expanded its mission to combat poverty and disease, particularly through partnerships like Swazi SHEROES, which empowers women and girls in Eswatini.
