Our Story

In 2014, Marie Naklie McCoy discovered the Opportunity School in Chennai, India, while working on an engineering project. Inspired by the school's mission, she rallied support in the US, leading to the formation of Save Our Schools in Chennai (SOSMC) in 2015. Initially focused on raising funds for a new school, the mission evolved to renovating existing structures after confirming their viability.

Our Impact

SOSMC is dedicated to renovating a 50-year-old vocational school for children with disabilities, ensuring they receive the education and support needed for self-sufficiency.
