Founded by Dora Breuninger in 2000, Sonshine Haven has been dedicated to serving families in need for over 30 years. After volunteering at a Sonshine Club, Dora recognized her calling and became a staff member in 2007, eventually becoming the Executive Director in 2019. The organization has grown to operate 17 clubs, providing essential after school programs and support to the San Diego community.
Since its inception in 1991, Sonshine Haven has positively impacted over 30,000 students, offering vital services such as Life Skills classes and holiday assistance.
