Founded in response to the devastating wildfires of 2017, Sonoma Family Meal was initiated by Heather Irwin to provide comforting, chef-made meals for displaced families. Since then, SFM has evolved to support the local food ecosystem and offer culinary job training.
In 2023, Sonoma Family Meal provided over 13,000 nutritious meals to food-insecure households, salvaged 5,000 pounds of local produce, and contributed over 220 hours of culinary job training.
