Established in 2006, Sonoma County Winegrowers evolved from the Sonoma County Grape Growers Association, founded in 1983. This organization is dedicated to promoting and preserving Sonoma County as a premier grape-growing region. With over 1,800 growers, SCW focuses on increasing awareness of the quality, sustainability, and diversity of Sonoma County’s grapes and wines through innovative marketing and educational programs.
Today, 99% of vineyard acreage in Sonoma County is certified sustainable, making it the most sustainable winegrowing region globally. SCW’s efforts have earned the prestigious 2016 Governor’s Environmental and Economic Leadership Award, recognizing its commitment to environmental stewardship.
