Our Story

Founded in 1981 by a dedicated group of women, Sonoma County Wildlife Rescue has grown to become a vital resource for wildlife in Sonoma County. Caring for over 1,500 animals each year, the organization operates a Wildlife Hospital and Hotline services, providing essential rescue and rehabilitation for sick, injured, and orphaned wildlife.

Impact

On average, 70% of the animals treated at Sonoma County Wildlife Rescue are successfully released back into their natural habitats. Many return to their original locations, while others are relocated to special release sites thanks to the generosity of community members.
