Our Story

Founded in the wake of Hurricane Mitch in 1998, Somos Ohana Nicaragua began with a mission to rebuild lives in Nicaragua. Co-founders Charlotte 'Maura' Flavin and Daniel Flavin dedicated themselves to improving the lives of marginalized communities in Villanueva through education, health care, and community support.
