The Somerville Community Corporation (SCC), founded in 1969, is dedicated to empowering residents to sustain a diverse and affordable Somerville. By providing leadership and community organizing, SCC supports low- and moderate-income residents in achieving economic sustainability and increasing civic participation.

Making a Lasting Impact

Over the years, SCC has built or preserved over 450 affordable homes and placed over 700 job seekers into good jobs. With programs like financial literacy and First Time Home Buyer, SCC educates an average of 250 households annually, helping approximately 25 families become homeowners each year.
