The Somali Parents Autism Network (SPAN) was founded in 2014 by a dedicated group of Somali American immigrant parents. Their mission is to educate and inform Somali families of children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) in Minnesota. Through outreach, education, and collaboration, SPAN connects families with essential resources and services, aiming for early intervention and caregiver empowerment.
