Our Story

SOLVE began as a grassroots initiative in 1969, founded by Governor Tom McCall, and has grown into a national model for volunteer environmental stewardship. Mobilizing thousands of volunteers across Oregon and Southwest Washington, SOLVE is dedicated to cleaning and restoring neighborhoods and natural areas.
