Sokoloff Arts opened Loft227 in 2012 as a vibrant performance and event venue, dedicated to supporting new works that inspire and strengthen communities. The organization has since expanded to Town Stages, a larger venue launched in 2017, focusing on amplifying underrepresented voices in the arts.
In its inaugural year at Town Stages, Sokoloff Arts provided 2,664 hours of subsidized space, contributing over $600,000 in free space and creating more than 1,000 jobs, while supporting 144 groups with essential space and assistance.
