Our Story

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul, founded in mid-1800s Paris by compassionate university students, has been a beacon of hope in Southwest Texas for nearly 150 years. This Catholic lay organization is dedicated to serving those in need through grassroots governance and community involvement, with volunteers often hailing from the very communities they assist.

Impact

In the past year alone, the Society distributed $4 million worth of food, assisted over 55,000 individuals with food aid, and provided significant rental assistance to families in crisis. Their efforts have been pivotal in maintaining stable housing and providing essential items to those in need.
