Our Story

The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals of Southwest Michigan has been committed to rescuing homeless dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens since 2002. This 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization operates without government funding, relying solely on the generosity of individual donors.

Since its inception, over 25,000 pets have been saved, and the euthanization rate at Michigan animal shelters has decreased by 60% since 2012, showcasing a significant increase in adoptions.
