Our Story

Since 1978, the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals of Polk County, Texas, has been a beacon of hope for pets in need. Founded by passionate individuals who recognized the urgent need for animal welfare, this nonprofit NO KILL organization has grown significantly over the years. With over 10,000 square feet dedicated to animal care, including a medical clinic and adoption center, the SPCA of Polk County is committed to providing quality care and services to the community.
