Our Story

The journey of Snowline Hospice began in the Fall of 1979 when Dr. Douglas Tustin and community leaders came together to explore the creation of a hospice program in Placerville, California. By 1980, dedicated volunteers established the organizational framework, and by the end of that year, Snowline had cared for its first 26 patients. The mission remains clear: to help patients and families live fully, rather than merely postponing death.

Impact

For over 45 years, Snowline has provided Hospice, Palliative Care, and Grief Support, emphasizing quality of life. Research indicates that hospice patients often experience longer lives when care begins earlier.
