Smart Share Housing Solutions began as HomeShareSLO in 2016, dedicated to connecting individuals with homes. Inspired by successful homesharing models across the U.S., the organization became an independent nonprofit in 2019, expanding its reach through innovative programs like ADU SLO and the Co-Living Collaborative.

Impact

By the end of 2023, the HomeShareSLO program has facilitated around 100 homeshare matches, resulting in approximately $2 million in direct financial benefits for both providers and seekers, demonstrating a remarkable six-fold return on investment.
